Braune Langohren

Young Braune Langohren have a dark coat color, unlike those of older specimens. This is clearly visible on the top and bottom.

Braune Langohren go hunting in the late twilight. Their flight is fluttering and sent slowly pronounced. Even in the smallest room they are in a position to shake through the dense forest of leaves to locate prey. In contrast to the other smooth nose, they can emit through the close above the open fire extinguishers with a closed mouth, nose and echolocation. Although these are very quiet, can Braune Langohren because of the big-ears en dormant insects locate itself, so that many diurnal insects such as flies and butterflies belong to the range of prey.

With large prey fly Braune Langohren to a feeding place where the prey is consumed. Indigestible parts such as wings and legs are bitten off and dropped, so it comes to collections including the food residue.
