Eleanor Mondale and Kara Kennedy announced the death of their two loved ones

Eleanor Mondale, former vice president Walter Mondale’s glamorous and Kara Kennedy flamboyant daughter, Both women were 51. Eleanor Mondale died of brain cancer after a long battle on Sept. 17, Kara Kennedy of a heart attack, though she had lung cancer in 2003.

Eleanor Mondale was an actress, television host, and radio personality, and her career was a stunning break from the longtime family tradition of commitment to public service. Besides serving as vice president, Eleanor Mondale father was a U.S. senator and ambassador to Japan.
